Our client is a multi platform media group looking for someone to join the existing sales team and focus primarily on a direct sell. They have so many potential clients that are not handled by the major agencies in Sydney and consequently fly under the radar of the existing Agency Sales team.
This is a role for a proven direct or classified sales expert who enjoys selling strong brands to receptive advertisers.
This is not an archetypal "cold calling" role – this is selling to targeted and existing advertisers, backed by really strong individual brands plus the wider media group.
Most of the ad solutions that are utilised by typical advertisers are high end, video streaming, creative executions etc. Yes more mainstream ad executions eg. banners and buttons, play their part but the successful candidate needs to be comfortable selling more engaging digital solutions to a discerning advertiser base.
Consequently Online sales experience is not essential but clearly you will need a level of comfort with Online to enable you to sell these high end solutions to a knowledgeable advertiser base. Categories that are successful areas for this client include Sport, Entertainment, Finance, Lifestyle, Retail etc so there really is no limit to which market sectors can be capitalised upon. Salary package will be c$80KUS base + super + bonus
